Kevin James Dobson has worked extensively in film and television starting out at Crawford Products in Melbourne. For the last twenty years he has lived and worked in Los Angeles, Mexico and Canada.
Kevin is an acclaimed director, with awards for The Mango Tree, Squizzy Taylor, The Thorn Birds, The Last Outlaw, I Can Jump Puddles, The Virgin of Juarez and others.
While in the US, Kevin directed successful feature films, mini-series, TV movies and series working with top-line actors including Nicole Kidman, Abby Cornish, Minnie Driver, Kim Catrall, Ana Claudia Talancon, Christina Ritchie, Ali McGraw and Kris Kristofferson for such production companies as Universal Studio’s, Warner Bros, Disney, Village Roadshow Pictures NBC, CBS, TNT. Kevin has also worked with several of the great Academy Award winning producers Including Al Rudy, The God Father, Martin Bregman, Scarface,
He has extensive expertise in the new media and understands the great importance placed on marketing and publicity, having worked in advertising and public relations.

I live in Uzbekistan, my first language is Russian. I was 12 years old when I first saw this film. It was the strongest shock. Nothing has ever impressed me so much. I got Australia, wanted to learn and become famous bussines-women c charming looks and great soul. The series led to the choice of occupaition and the University. After the first year, during the summer holidays, obsessive desire to know the secrets and laws of the exchange business, I went on courses. Was interesting. There was a young teacher is smart and beautiful. A year and a half we got married. We have a son, then two daughters. I dissolve in children, husband, I love them madly. Forgot about Australia, about Eden remembered only sometimes.
But two years ago I saw again the Eden on TV ,I was already 31 years old, now 33. And it all started again, and this coincided with my thoughts about your own life, your own destiny. At the same time I was interested in the Taro cards and believed in us I am a huge power given by God, each of us has its way on the earth is the ultimate goal , given by heaven, and if we put aside the skepticism and fear, you can hear my heart’s voice, the voice of truth, who will tell us about our true purpose, you feel the need to hear and to find the strength to believe. And then go forward in spite of fear, doubt, despair, and pain, and common sense.
Albert Enstein said, ” Logic will lead us from point a to point b, imagination -anywhere. Now , I began to ask myself : what is my purpose? What I love to do most in the world? The answer was not long to wait – watch the series “Return to Eden” in the morning, afternoon and evening. It was what gave me strength, uplifting, inspiring. Although, honestly , I was distracted: watch your favorite TV series are great, but what is my mission? And soon I realized, even in childhood, a long time after the end of the series, I had a feeling of incompleteness, vagueness and disagreement with this end. ” This story should be continued!” chattered at me in my ears day and night.
And I decided to write a book. I write it so far, finished the half. The main idea is to understand , to forgive and to love. Because only then can the true return to Eden.
I could not bear the death of Jake Sanders, too strong was his passion and deep love for Stephanie. That is why I decided that he should live and earn a return. The necessity and possibility of a true reconciliation, forgiveness and love between Jilly and Stephanie became an obsession.
I feel that this idea has great potential to continue and precious soul Stephanie Harper – the main its source.
The absurdity of revenge, all-forgiving love and return to the true faith to God – the only way of salvation for man.
Well, now the innermost. I dream to play Stephanie Harper in this film, I feel that I can. This belief is not excised fire burns in my heart. I’m ready for plastic surgery, if necessary, to gain the maximum similarity with Rebecca Gilling

Sevil, thank you for your letter and please forgive the delay in writing back. I’m happy you have found solace and inspiration in the series “Return to Eden”. I would like to claim full credit for it, both the procuring and making, but the truth is I was just one of many folk who contributed to this very fine series. If you wish to move forward with a reprise of the show I can only suggest that you contact the producers. I have no licensing or copy right on any of the material and have long lost contact with the people who made it, McElroy & McElroy.
The show had many twists and turns and was among the most fun and enjoyable projects I have ever been involved with. I’m glad it brought you so much, and indeed that you found and drew so much from the series brings me great joy and it was a pleasure helping bring it to you. I did direct more episodes than anyone else and it will always have a very special place for me. The cast was particularly wonderful led by the talented and very beautiful Rebbeca Gilling who is one of the nicest most honest people i’ve ever met. All the best Sevil. KJD.
